Flash Fiction Friday 3

Hello Readers and Writers,

Welcome to Flash Fiction Friday - the latest addition to my blog, where I will be posting a story provoking image fortnightly on a Friday, throughout the year. The aim is to write a piece of fiction - a story or poetry, in no more than 100 words.

Todays inspirational image is ...

It all began the day his mother died. She'd warned him many years earlier, before her words were dismissed as delusions. As he stood over the freshly painted mahogany box, he wondered how a woman of six foot three could fit inside. In the comfort of his home, the man fell to his knees, his ears infiltrated by haunting shrieks of white noise. One word repeatedly tore through the static. The man could no longer bear the burden of what he had done. 'Justice,' the voice cried. With a metal skewer in each hand, the voice fell silent.

I'd love to read your stories, so please don't hesitate to post below.

Thanks for reading and writing,

Louise.
