NaPoWriMo Day 21

Hello Readers,

Welcome to day 21 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge.

Todays poem is called Sid the Spider.

Today I witnessed a creepy sight,
When a spider crept out from dim light,
He spoke and said his name was Sid,
As I tried to trap him with a lid,
He was bizarre and quite scary,
With lumps on his back, slightly hairy,
I stared and begged him to go,
He dangled down and said 'No,'
To my surprise he turned white,
Very much NOT to my delight,
I searched for him high and low,
Trying to find where he would go,
But his webs were everywhere,
I even found some in my hair,
I was itchy and screamed really loud,
He must have been disturbed by the sound,
As the next minute he was on my bed,
Scuttling around towards my head,
I leapt and he chased me around the house,
As if playing a game of cat and mouse,
His pale stick legs and body grew,
Turning from white, to black and blue,
He came close with a sharp bite,
And I knew I'd lost the fight,
I awoke with a scream,
Thank God it was just a dream.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
