NaPoWriMo Day 1

Hello Readers,

Welcome to Day 1 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge, where I will be writing and posting a new poem everyday for the whole of April!

Todays poem is called Just Believe.

I see the world through two set eyes,
One with grey clouds and blackened skies,
An unjust place full of pain,
Where you’re provoked to become insane.
But, then there's another full of hope,
Where people help each other cope,
A disaster occurs and the community is there,
To extend their love and show they care,
This is the world we must strive for,
Not the one with anger at the core,
Because goodness grows like a tree,
Planting its roots for all to see,
No more violence or destruction,
Pain, cruelty or obstruction,
The world depends on our view,
Yours, mine, and theirs too,
Look for miracles in every day,
And let go of the decay,
Forgive the darkness and let go,
Of the hindrance and the woe,
Smile every day because you are here,
To spread a little happiness and cheer,
Have faith in all you achieve,
For as long as you breathe,
And no matter what, just believe.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
