Welcome to day 27 of national poetry writing month. Today's poem is another fun children's poem, about ...
The Gremlin Under My Bed
There's a gremlin living under my bed,
With bulging eyes and a slimy head,
He steals all of my black socks,
When he arrives time stops,
I told my mum the other day,
But she said, 'don't be silly go away,'
I caught him eating my last sweet,
With fangs protruding from his feet,
And what on earth am I to do?
When he's drinking all my super glue,
I wanted to tell my favourite teacher,
Or even our town preacher,
But I know they won't believe,
I have a gremlin refusing to leave,
So I told him he could stay,
After all was done and said,
Because I knew he'd never go away,
But he's happy as long as he's fed,
And when I grow old and grey,
And it becomes my time,
Because he's here to stay,
He'll be passed to next in line.
