NaPoWriMo Day 8

Hello Readers,

Welcome to Day 8 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge, where I will be writing and posting a new poem everyday for the whole of April!

Todays poem is called Knaresborough.

The mother of Prophecies watches all,
Waiting for the bridge to fall,
Her cave overlooks the lake,
Make a wish for your sake,
Boats a plenty to row,
Too many steps to go,
Museum, castle and a garden,
Relaxed in a a state of zen,
Lots of shops new and old,
And stories left untold,
Lady Luck and Zoltar predict,
Cafes serving eggs benedict,
Swearing ravens, owls and other birds,
For this place there are no words,
On sunny days nothing compares,
When I leave my heart tears,
A serene patch of preservation,
The perfect place for a vacation,
And, one day I believe,
I'll go there and never leave.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
