NaPoWriMo Day 6

Hello Readers,

Welcome to Day 6 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge, where I will be writing and posting a new poem everyday for the whole of April!

Todays poem is called The Blackbird.

There you go skipping along,
Singing that cheerful blackbird song,
You're full of life and energy,
A black winged bird flying free,
A golden beak and beady eyes,
How I hate our goodbyes,
Scuttling through bushes on the prance,
Those worms don't even stand a chance,
You begin to run and then pause,
My feathered friend you have no flaws,
And I want you to know,
Wherever you are, I will go.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
