Welcome to day 23 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge.
Todays poem is called Cleansing Ritual.
I relax deeper within,
As the bubbles kiss my skin,
Opal-clusters of pleasure,
In a state of meditative leisure,
Careful not to fall asleep,
The water hottest at my feet,
A luxurious essence with fragrance,
Relieving muscles that were tense,
Flames flicker all around me,
As I sink deeper into ecstacy,
Hydrated skin soft and divine,
As my mind, body and spirit realign,
Wrinkling skin after a while,
Transformed with a satisfied smile,
I lift my legs and they begin to float,
Like a wooden rowing boat,
I go under for a final soak,
Before pulling on a towel cloak,
All negativity flushed down the drain,
Fully energised and clean again.
