NaPoWriMo Day 16

Hello Readers,

Welcome to day 16 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge.

Todays poem is called The Easter Bunny and the Chick.

There's an Easter story that's never been told,
From the days of the old,
Of the Easter Bunny misplacing his goods,
Somewhere deep in the woods,
When he found them they'd been beaten,
And, all of the yolks had been eaten,
He knew there was no time to lay more,
And, deliver them door to door,
But, then he met a chick named Mia,
Who had a very good idea,
Instead of real eggs they'd deliver chocolate,
When the moulds were done they were all set,
Changing the gift tradition but not the date,
Then no Easter Egg would ever be late,
Now you know the true story yourself,
Next time you see Easter Eggs on the shelf.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
