NaPoWriMo Day 14

Hello Readers,

Welcome to day 14 of my NaPoWriMo writing challenge.

Todays poem is called My Religion.

My moto used to be religion sucks,
Invented by controlling crooks,
With a passion for writing books,
And no row for their ducks,
I didn't believe in anything,
Except for what they call sin,
Then an experience brought enlightenment,
Near death protection heaven sent,
I felt a white light holding me,
An angelic being I couldn't see,
And, ever since that very day,
I have my own religious way,
I used to be an atheist,
Now I'm learning all I've missed,
And of spirituality I believe,
When I ask I will receive,
I believe all soul's live on,
Even when our shells are gone,
Of religions I don't follow any,
As there are far too many,
I know that I'm not alone,
My religion is my own.

Thanks for reading,
Louise Lake.
